What is Gamazine?

Texture you can see and feel, built to last.

Gamazine is a water-based granular plaster and textured coating. It gives walls a seamless, colour-fast finish that hides minor imperfections and stands up to South African sun and weather.

It suits interior walls, exterior walls and sound ceilings, on homes, commercial buildings and industrial properties. Every batch is made in-house, and our own team applies it.

Choose your texture

Two textures, two looks.

1.1 mm: fine texture

A smooth, refined surface. Covers about 8 m² per 25 kg bucket.

1.8 mm: rough texture

A bolder, more pronounced surface. Covers about 6 m² per 25 kg bucket.

Finer 0.4 mm and 0.8 mm grades are also made in-house for professional application. Ask our team if you would like one of these.

Do not forget

Every Gamazine job starts with undercoat.

The undercoat levels the wall and gives Gamazine a sound base. One 25 kg bucket covers about 15 m².

How we apply it

Done properly, step by step.

01

Prepare the surface

Loose or flaking paint is removed, and the wall is washed, degreased and left dry and dust-free.

02

Repair the wall

Hollow plaster, cracks and expansion joints are repaired, and rising damp and parapets are sealed where needed.

03

Level with undercoat

An even undercoat gives the finish a sound base. One bucket covers about 15 m².

04

Trowel on Gamazine

The final coat is applied by hand in your chosen colour and texture, then we clean up and walk through it with you.

Common questions

Good to know.

How much longer does Gamazine last than paint?

Gamazine is made to last up to three times longer than ordinary exterior paint, so you repaint far less often.

Can it go on ceilings and interior walls too?

Yes. Gamazine suits interior and exterior walls, and sound, properly prepared ceilings.

How many buckets do I need?

Measure the wall length times the height, subtract doors and windows, then divide by about 8 m² (1.1 mm) or 6 m² (1.8 mm). Or use our free wall calculator.

How long does it take to dry?

Gamazine is water-based, so drying and curing depend on temperature, humidity and direct sun. We do not give one fixed time, because cold or humid weather changes it. Ask our team for advice on your site.

Can I wash a Gamazine wall?

It is water-based and UV stable, and it handles weather well. Avoid abrasive scrubbing, high-pressure washing and harsh chemicals, which can damage the textured surface.

What does the guarantee cover?

Applied work carries a 12-month workmanship and adhesion guarantee, and the colour is guaranteed against premature fading for 24 months. Some conditions apply, such as walls with damp problems. Ask us for the full terms.
